Our organization was established and founded by Charlie Hellmuth whose career began back in 1950 as a
Group insurance representative for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company. After training, Charlie
was assigned to the Washington, DC area in May of 1952 as a Regional Group Manager.
Charlie’s territory was from Boston to Miami and over the next 20 years, he built the Lincoln National
Group operation on the East coast to include sales, a claims office and agency operations.
In 1972, C.T. Hellmuth & Associates, Inc. was established and the company began representing many more
companies.
Charlie was always a ceaseless client advocate as well as a driven to absolute perfection executive.
This has been fully engrained in all of us at the company and we carry forward his business goals and
ethics with determination and resourcefulness.
C.T. Hellmuth & Associates, Inc. and its affiliates have been, for many years, leaders in providing
Employee Benefit focused professional advice, consultation, and insurance brokerage to corporations,
associations, 501(c) organizations and law and other professional firms.
Our business model is singular; we focus 100% of our efforts and abilities on what is in the best
interest of our clients. This clear goal, blended with our professional strengths, balance and depth of
our organization has made us the leading Employee Benefits organization in the Washington, DC area.
While accountants and attorneys are included in our affiliated organizations, we do not practice accounting
nor do we practice law. Our clients use their own accountants and attorneys exclusively in these matters.
